Description

The Tasman Flax Lily, also known as Dianella Tasmanica, is a hardy and versatile plant that is native to Australia. It is a perennial plant that can grow up to 30-40cm in height and has long, strap-like leaves that are a vibrant green color. The leaves are around 30-50cm long and 1-2cm wide, and they grow in a clumping habit, forming a dense and attractive foliage. The Tasman Flax Lily produces small, star-shaped flowers that are a pale blue or white color and bloom in spring and summer. These flowers are followed by small, round berries that are a deep blue or purple color and are edible but not particularly tasty. This plant is well-suited to a range of growing conditions and can thrive in full sun or partial shade. It is also tolerant of a range of soil types, including sandy, loamy, and clay soils.
