Description

The Siris Tree, also known as Albizia Lebbeck, is a deciduous tree that can grow up to 4 meters in height. It is native to tropical regions of Asia and Africa and is commonly found in India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. The tree has a straight trunk with a spreading crown and can grow up to 1.7 meters in diameter. The bark of the tree is grayish-brown and rough, with deep vertical fissures. The leaves of the Siris Tree are bipinnate, meaning they have multiple leaflets arranged on either side of the stem. The leaflets are small and oval-shaped, with a smooth texture and a bright green color. The tree produces fragrant, yellow flowers that are arranged in clusters and bloom in the summer months. The flowers are followed by long, flat seed pods that contain several seeds. The Siris Tree is a valuable timber tree and is used for a variety of purposes, including furniture, construction, and fuel.
