Description

The Chinese Banyan, scientifically known as Ficus Nitida, is a popular ornamental plant that is native to Southeast Asia and Australia. It is a fast-growing evergreen tree that can reach a height of up to 20 meters in its natural habitat. However, when grown as a potted plant, it usually grows up to 2.2m to 2.8m tall.

The Chinese Banyan has a dense canopy of glossy, dark green leaves that are oval-shaped and pointed at the tip. The leaves are about 5-10 cm long and 3-6 cm wide. The tree also produces small, round, greenish-yellow fruits that are edible but not commonly consumed.

The Chinese Banyan is a hardy plant that can tolerate a wide range of growing conditions. It prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It is also drought-tolerant and can withstand occasional periods of dryness.
