Description

The Chinese orange, also known as Citrus mitis, is a small evergreen tree or shrub that belongs to the citrus family. It is native to Southeast Asia and is widely cultivated in China, Japan, and other parts of the world. The plant can grow up to 150cm in height, but can also be found in smaller sizes, ranging from 20cm to 100cm.

The Chinese orange has glossy, dark green leaves that are oval-shaped and emit a fragrant citrus scent when crushed. The plant produces small, round fruits that are about the size of a golf ball and have a thin, smooth skin that is easy to peel. The fruit is juicy and sweet, with a slightly tart taste, and is commonly used in cooking, baking, and as a garnish.

The Chinese orange is a hardy plant that can tolerate a wide range of soil types and climates, but prefers well-drained soil and full sun exposure. It is also resistant to many common citrus
