Grow your own olives with an – Olea Europea Olive Tree. The Olea Europea Olive Tree is slow-growing, early flowering, and grows high quality olives that can be eaten fresh, brined, or milled into oil. Olea Europea Olive Trees are adaptable to a wide variety of soil types and conditions.
Olea Europea Olive Trees grow to a height of 10m and a width of 10m, and can tolerate high temperatures. They do best in well drained soil and full sun. Since the trees are small, you can grow one in a smaller garden or yard, or even in a container on a patio or deck.
Olea Europea Olive Trees develop a rounded head, with opposite, leathery, elliptic to lance-shaped, irregularly toothed leaves, to 8cm long, grey-green above, silvery grey-green beneath.
Olea Europea Olive Trees tiny, fragrant, creamy white flowers are borne in axillary panicles, to 5cm long, in summer, followed by edible, spherical to ovoid green fruit (olives), to 4cm long, ripening to black.
