It is proven that a balcony getting around 6 hours of sunlight allows various plantations. This helps the process of photosynthesis and enhances their growth.

North-facing balconies generally remain shady and it may not get any direct sunlight at all. But don’t worry, many plants prefer shade.

South-facing balconies remain sunny throughout the day so The Arabian Jasmine, Peacock Flower, Nerium Oleander would be the best choice for your balcony. Soil is the bed for your plants. Therefore, you cannot use dirt or soil from the ground as it is not sterile and it can cause diseases to the plants. Potting soil needs to enable plant roots to breathe and let water drain. The soil or potting mix should provide nutrients to the plants. The best mix will include soil, organic matter, peat moss, and vermiculite.

There are plenty of planters available in the market but you have to choose the one which suits your requirement and balcony size. Buy a potholder that will hold your pot vertically or you can get a custom wooden rack. Apart from this you can place it in a pot and let it grow on the wall.
